Better than Inception

This is a continuation to the previous blog post. After I wrote that post, I felt sleepy and realized I need more rest so I went back to sleep for another 4 hours. This time, I dreamt a lot!

There are too many scenes too remember. My dream is just filled with so many scenes. I don't know where to start with. I got all scrambled up.

I was on a small plastic raft, floating on the lake bank. I went into the water (or maybe I fall into it?). It was shallow, not even reaching up to my knee. I think I went up the land and saw some wooden houses. It seems to be a beautiful village here.

I knew that I have dreamt enough and it is time to wake up. So I woke up in a room with some kind-looking people in there. I think I walked around and talked. Suddenly there was this cool song that I never heard of pops out in my head. I began singing it. The song just consist of simple phrase but its quite fun to sing it. I knew this is a dream so I sang it over and over again so that I will remember this song when I wake up. Later on, I woke up and forgotten about the lyrics and rhythm. I am more emotional in dreams so songs sound more amazing in my dreams but I always wake up forgetting these songs.

I woke up in a different scene again so I tried to wake up again. I failed to wake up and appeared in a different scene. This process repeated several times, I can't really remember actually how many times I tried to wake up only to appear in a different dream scene. Everytime I appeared in a new scene, I thought to myself whether this really is the real world. There is one scene where there is an elephant. In another scene, I actually went back to that plastic raft scene.

Then, I woke up in a comfortable bedroom alone. I think this is it! No more weird scenes! Then I realize that I can see the bottom part of a staircase on the ceiling. This is NOT my room! So I tried to wake up again. I know I am slowly succeeding as I am starting to wake up in bedrooms. Finally I opened up my eyes and looked around. I analyzed the room real hard and knew that this is my real room. I quickly got up to checked the clock.

This is really is inception! I can just wake up again and again in a different dream. I never had this much dreamception before!

Cuckoo Biological Clock

Had a dream but can't remember it when I woke up. This is very common, I always wake up knowing I had a dream because I can feel a fading new memory in my brain. Well, today I'm not going to talk about dreams since I can't remember my dream today. I'm going to talk about my sleep instead.

I decided to take an afternoon nap around 6pm so that I can wake up feeling refreshed to do my assignments at night. So off I went to sleep and woke up hungry. I know it's time for dinner as it is late at night. I looked out the window and saw that there are only a few cars so I estimated that it may be around 9-10pm. I ate my dinner and looked at the time on my computer. My computer shows that the time is almost 4am. I thought there is some technical problem on my computer so I checked my phone and realized it definitely is almost dawn now!

I was really shocked as this is one of the few times I miscalculated the time. Usually my biological clock can estimate the duration of my sleep but this time my calculations are far from right! I have been sleeping for 10 hours! Usually I would have dreamt a lot for such a long sleep and remembered several scenes.

I think it is due to me having a severe lack or sleep and inconsistent sleep hours which causes my biological clock to go cuckoo.

Get it?... get it? Haha

Subconscious Writing

I have been sleeping for 5-6 hours then I started waking up in my sleep but having a hard time.

I dreamt I meet with Big Mama. There was some kind of competition here, something like a race. I think she was throwing things with such great power that it looks like she is throwing lightning bolts at us. I had to run and block the projectiles.

Then there was this scene where there is a game of dodging slow missiles. In another dream scene, there is this small cute dog following me.

Then in a final scene, I realized that I am dreaming so I took out my notepad and began recollecting these scenes that I have dreamed so I can note them down. Then I woke up, realizing that all that I have wrote down is gone! It's just a dream! So I have to remember the scenes again to record for real this time.

However, I realized that I cannot remember the dreams well. When I was writing in my notebook in the dream, I can remember all the dreams but as soon as I woke up, I immediately forgotten the details of my dreams. Is this how subconscious works? I can remember my dreams in my dream but I have difficulty after waking up. In an subconscious state, I can connect to my memory better than waking up. Is this how hypnosis works by connecting to your subconscious self to recall back forgotten memories?
