Woke up before 8am but too sleepy so I fell asleep again. This is the time I dreamt about this adventurous dream until 9:45am.
I was trapped in a maze land with my former best friend - Alex Chin. This maze land is full of mazes that we have to go through. Sometimes there are extra challenges for example a giant orange ball rolled after us so we had to run to avoid being run over.
We finally managed to exit the maze building. Outside is a familiar town area. We seem to be in Kota Kinabalu. We meet with Alex's friend who is Harry, a short boy. We three decided to walk back to our homes in a neighbouring city. Our towns are hundreds of kilometers away by road but someone suggested to use a shortcut.
We walked and walked. We passed by the town bus station where there are beautiful ornamental flower bushes beside the road which I have never seen before. There is also a huge black shiny hornet underneath one of the leaves.
We walked non stop until we reached the outskirts where there are rows of old dirty houses. We rested for a short while in a open basketball court. Both sides of the court has a row of old houses covered with light graffiti. While they were resting, I went over to a row of houses on the right hand side of the court. I looked into the building cracks and saw a Psechrus spider in her web.
We then continued and reached Kinarut's beach. There really is a sandy beach in Kinarut but in my dream, the beach looks nothing like the real beach. The beach here is a very long beach. There are lots of people playing and sunbathing at the seaside here. Harry told us that this beach contains the world longest underwater bridge. What does that even mean? Then I saw it myself. There is a painted steel platform in the water extending far beyond the horizon. I was told that it extend hundreds of miles along the coast. We continued walking past people and umbrellas under the hot sun. We could walk forever to see the end of the bridge but then we found a shortcut through the jungle at our right hand side.
We passed through and reached a forest trail. It was already late at night. As we entered the entrance to the forest trail, there was a proboscis monkey sitting on a cardboard at the entrance. I was afraid to go first as it is a large male. However, Alex walked courageously towards the entrance and scared the monkey away. Harry and I followed after him. It was real dark since there are no artificial light source. We could only depend on the weak moon light to light our way. The forest around us look surprisingly familiar. It looked like Bukit Gemuk or Kinabalu Park. Anyway, we proceed to trek the trail. The forest trail is made up of concrete so it is not slippery.
The trail is going uphill as it is getting steeper as we continued. At one point, it was so steep that we have to literally climb the trail! It was about 80% steep so we have to climb about 5 meters to get up there. Alex went first, as he is the fittest among us. He climbed the trail without problem. Harry went after him, followed by me behind. I tried my best to find gaps in the concrete trail for my fingers to fit in. I did pretty well in my dream. I managed to get about 2 meters up when my arms started to become tired. What!? Even my muscles can get tired in dreams!? There soon ran out of gaps for my fingers so I gave up as my muscles are also aching. I saw an alternative way though. I could climb the steel railing at the side of the trails instead. It was a good idea so I start to slip back down the trail slowly but then I cannot control myself and started to slip down quickly. I am sure to hurt myself at this falling speed so I quickly woke up !
Yeah, I am up now. Looks like waking up is the quickest way to get home :-)
